My favorite UGA football memories are the 20 years from the 70's thru the 90's that my family met with our Auburn friends going to the UGa vs. Auburn game in Athens & Auburn together. We no longer attend the games, just meet and watch the game on TV together. We have too many babies running around to be able to afford the tickets!! These weekends are always such a special time to be with our friends we see only once a year -

When we pounded Auburn into the ground in the Sanford Stadium blackout in 2007! I've never felt such an amazing buzz in that stadium!

My now-husband met my father at a Georgia game in 2002. Dad and his brother were sitting near the 50-yard line in a section we (as students) didn't have tickets to, so we fought our way across rows and rows and rows of people, climbing over laps and stepping on many dozens of toes to get to where they were so I could introduce my two favorite men to each other. :)

If you can believe it, I've only been to one UGA football game. Perhaps it's because I went to a college where we had no football team, perhaps it's because I went to high school football games as a kid and was forever confused by the rules. In any case, my favorite UGA football memory is of the day in fall 2004 when I saw my dear friend Kat on the field. As we know, the UGA marching band is really awesome, and it was so exhilarating to see my friend directing the huge trumpet section.

My favorite moment was when the Dawgs came from behind to beat Auburn 45-20 --
This was the blackout! This idea filtered down to local High School teams and has since started a new tradition........

My best UGA memory was 1981 --
The group setting next to us brought their friends ashes. After the game they scatter over Sanford Stadium...... I was a little creeped out......
